Impact analysis of reinforced concrete slab subject to impact loads associated with low velocity drop of heavy objects


To solve non-linear response of concrete structures acting as barriers subject to low velocity impact loads simulating accidental drop of a heavy object.


ENOVA performed detailed non-linear analyses simulating a low velocity impact associated with accidental drop of a heavy object, onto a reinforced concrete slab. Impact scenarios were simulated onto reinforced concrete floors of various thicknesses and reinforcement, in order to predict the non-linear crushing response of the concrete subject to these low velocity impact scenarios.
