Impact analysis of reinforced concrete wall subject to high velocity tornado borne missile impact loads


To solve non-linear response of a concrete structures acting as barriers subject to impact of high velocity tornado borne missiles.


ENOVA performed detailed non-linear analyses simulating the impact of a high velocity tornado borne missile, such as a steel pole, onto reinforced concrete walls of various thicknesses and reinforcement. Impact scenarios were simulated in order to predict the non-linear crushing response of the concrete subject to these high velocity impact scenarios.
