Evaluation of the various floors and impact on plant design basis spectra as a result of movement of heavy loads along the load path
To determine the impact on existing floor structural qualification and seismic design spectra as a result of movement of some heavy loads across various floors of a large reinforced concrete structure.
ENOVA created finite element model of the supporting floor coupled with the building stick model to minimize conservatisms associated with uncoupled response of two nearly tuned sub-structures. Non-linear analyses were performed to determine stability of the steam generators being carried on a large transporter to determine realistic seismic impact loads, which were then used for follow-up qualification of the floor.
